English character actress, best known as the often irritable cook from the long-running television series, Upstairs, Downstairs (1971). Started her theatrical acting career at the age of eleven at the Old Vic in "Richard III", playing the juvenile "Duke of York".

Angela Baddeley made her stage debut at the Old Vic on November 22, 1915, as the little Duke of York in Richard III. A popular stage actress in England, Baddeley frequently appeared as Jenny Diver in The Beggar's Opera during a successful three-year run (1920–23).
