Founder of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Charles Page (June 2, 1860 – December 27, 1926) was a businessman and important philanthropist in the early history of Tulsa, Oklahoma. After his father died when Page was an 11-year-old boy in Wisconsin, he left school early to try to help support his mother and siblings.
As part of the Sand Springs Public Schools district, Charles Page High School is proud to serve the students of this community in grades 10-12.

Charles Page envisioned a self-sustaining institution that would support orphaned children. That dream materialized on June 2, 1908, when he established the Sand Springs Home.
Charles Page was an important figure in the early history of Oklahoma and Tulsa. His most lasting act was the creation of the Sand Springs Home for orphans and widows. Along with his dream he founded the city of Sand Springs in support of the home. He came to Tulsa during the oil boom at the turn of the century.
