Charlotte Ninon Coleman (3 April 1968 – 14 November 2001) was an English actress best known for playing Scarlett in the film Four Weddings and a Funeral, Jess in the television drama Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit, and her childhood roles of Sue in Worzel Gummidge and the character Marmalade Atkins.
Charlotte Coleman — who played Hugh Grant’s quirky flatmate Scarlett — died suddenly in 2001 at the age of 33. The actor was found dead in her London flat, hours after leaving her parents’ house where she had complained that she was feeling unwell. Coroners later found she had died after suffering a massive asthma attack.
