    The most important thing to remember about the snatch is there are TWO lockouts. Although the snatch may seem like one fluid exercise, there are in fact two separate segments to the snatch… 1. The lockout of the hips & knees (identical to the swing). 2. Then the lockout of the shoulder & elbow to affix the kettlebell overhead.
