The movie is transparently formulaic. The narrative predictably goes to the direction you would expect a typical Christian-conversion plot would go. The humor is exactly what you would expect from a “pretending to be a Christian” setup.
With Brett Dalton, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, Neil Flynn, D.B. Sweeney. A washed-up former child star, forced to do community service at a local megachurch, pretends to be a Christian to land the part of Jesus in their annual Passion Play, only to discover that the most important role of his life is far from Hollywood.
