Website. presidentsoffice .gov .lk. The Old Parliament Building, is the building that houses the Presidential Secretariat of Sri Lanka. Situated in the Colombo fort area facing the sea, it is in close proximity to the President's House, Colombo and adjacent to the General Treasury Building.
It was subsequently used by the State Council (1931–1947), the House of Representatives (1947–1972), the National State Assembly (1972–1977) and the Parliament of Sri Lanka (1977–1981). Today the Old Parliament Building is used by the Presidential Secretariat.

The building of the Old Parliament is still preserved to this day in its entire Neo-Baroque splendor as it sits in the Colombo Fort region, overlooking the lawns and its nearly wonderfully white columns on the porch at the very entrance.
