Nov 25, 2004 · I was wondering if HD looks the same on EDTV vs HDTV plasma screens in your opinion? Absolutely as good. In two different stores with numerous HDTV and EDTV up and running together, I swear the EDs look just as nice with HD material and BETTER with DVD and SD material.
Jan 22, 2005 · EDTV is better than conventional TV because it can show a progressive signal, but it is not better than HDTV because of the number of lines of resolution. Most HD tuners will have downsampled 480p outputs, but you will not get the full benefit of a high-def signal.
