San Marcos ( / ˌsæn ˈmɑːrkoʊs / SAN MAR-kohs; Spanish for "St. Mark") is a city in the North County region of San Diego County, California. As of the 2020 census, the city's population was 94,833. It is the site of California State University San Marcos and Palomar College.

Despite being located in the middle of a residential area, this hidden gem is entirely hidden from surrounding roads and doubles as a fantastic resort destination, thanks to the beautiful Lakehouse Resort (see below).

- North City. Address: 250 N City Dr, San Marcos, CA 92078. As mentioned in the intro, North City is the current huge development project underway in San Marcos.
- Draft Republic. Address: 255 Redel Rd., San Marcos, CA 92078. A special shout-out should go out to this great location for families, thanks to its stylish 8-lane bowling alley, Full Swing Golf Simulator, video arcade, and large outdoor area with kids games plus shuffleboard and corn hole.
- Strong Local and Regional Economy. San Marcos enjoys a low unemployment rate and is one of the fastest growing cities in San Diego County. Its low crime rate and strong commitment to promote economic development also add to the community's value.
