WeeWorld was an online game and a messaging website, originally created in 2000 with a company based in Glasgow, Scotland, with a few offices in London and Boston, as well as other cities in the USA. The company had created WeeWorld.com, formally known as a social networking site, to which was mostly geared towards teens and tweens. The website is also known for its brand of instant messaging and chat-based avatars, known as “WeeMees”, Which was also released on a variety of digital platforms and services. There were approximately 180 million WeeMees created worldwide.
The status of WeeWorld is currently unknown, it was shut down on May 11, 2017 due to the unknown reasons without its notice to its users. However, their Facebook page is still accessible, but it hasn't updated anything since May 5, 2017. Their Twitter is currently private, so the company was shut down. WeeWorld had entered into liquidation since 2014.
A WeeMee is an avatar that can be exported to Facebook, Twitter and e-mail. WeeMees appear primarily on WeeWorld.com where users create homepages that are similar to Facebook which showcases their friends, messages received, and rooms. WeeMees can be used to chat in a virtual world, play in games and participate in forums. Users customize their WeeMees with trendy clothing, accessories and interests to make their WeeMee unique.
WeeWorld users can create and customize a WeeWorld virtual space and use a customized personal WeeMee avatar to connect with friends, send animated messages, play games and more. WeeMee characters can be customized with clothing and accessories. The product is targeted towards a teenage market. Webuser magazine's review of WeeWorld stated, "Probably the most recognisable of all avatars, WeeMees have great charm."

A YouTuber named Weeworld Legends uploaded the last 30 minutes of WeeWorld before it shut down and a user, with the name of name Troy had raided too many avatars at the time of the last 30 minutes of WeeWorld.
