It is a Georgian Colonial style house, built in 1755 and the only pre-Revolutionary home in Portland, ME open to the public.The museum offers docent led tours and tells the story of the Tate family and the mast trade. There is also an 18-century herb and flower garden. Duration: 1-2 hours.
