The Gateway is created using Macintosh computers and HP Scanjet flatbed scanners. Adobe InDesign is used for layout. Adobe Illustrator is used for vector images, while Adobe Photoshop is used for raster images. The Gateway‘s website is powered by the WordPress content management system and the Apache web server running on Ubuntu.
Through our 113-year history as an organization we have won countless awards. These include recognition from the Canadian University Press, Alberta Magazine Publishers Association, Michigan State University College Design Contest, Canadian Community Newspaper Awards, and other professional organizations.
