This involves cutting the tibia bone and applying a bone plate to stabilize the CCL-deficient knee in these dogs. Now, a new minimally invasive technique option exists called the Tightrope procedure.
The Tightrope® may be an alternative technique for medium to large-breed dogs that are poor candidates for the TPLO (see CCL TPLOSection). A surgeon at DVSC may make the recommendation for a Tightrope® after full assessment of the patients’ history and condition.
