Jan 25, 2024 · Welcome to the final round of the 74th annual Van Vleck Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition. The competition, our largest and longest-running upper-level advocacy competition, is named for William C. Van Vleck, the longest-serving Dean in the history of the law school.
He also oversees the Law School’s advocacy programs by advising the three Skills Boards (Moot Court, Mock Trial and Alternative Dispute Resolution), overseeing fourteen on-campus competitions, and coaching/assisting students with numerous off-campus competitions throughout the world.
Van Vleck The Van Vleck Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition presents two constitutional law issues that a hypothetical Supreme Court has agreed to resolve. Working in teams of two, competitors submit briefs and argue for both parties to the case.
