Ray Bidwell Collins (December 10, 1889 – July 11, 1965) was an American character actor in stock and Broadway theatre, radio, films, and television. With 900 stage roles to his credit, he became one of the most successful actors in the developing field of radio drama.
Jul 2, 2021 · Ray’s final Perry Mason episode, The Case of the Capering Camera, aired on January 16th, 1964. Producers insisted his name remain in the title sequence because he still watched the show every week. Ray Collins died on July 11th, 1965 of emphysema in Santa Monica, California at the age of 75.
