Andrew C. Revkin (born 1956) is an American science and environmental journalist, webcaster, author and educator. He has written on a wide range of subjects including destruction of the Amazon rain forest, the 2004 Asian tsunami, sustainable development, climate change, and the changing environment around the North Pole.

He has written books on global warming, the changing Arctic and the assault on the Amazon rain forest, as well as three book chapters on science communication.
Andrew Revkin is the founding director of the new Initiative on Communication and Sustainability at Columbia University’s Earth Institute. There he is building programs, courses, tools and collaborations aimed at bridging gaps between science and society to cut climate risk and spread social and ecological resilience.
