I just wanted to say a few things about a wonderful guy and a great steel player. Bobby Bowman was, is, and will always be my hero on the steel. I owe so much to Bobby for helping me get started years ago. Bobby instilled something in me that will always be in my playing.

With great sadness I must report that my dear friend and Masonic Brother, Bobby Bowman, finally is at rest from his battle with leukemia. He passed away at 7:06 this morning, July 13 2014. I received the call from Toni a few minutes ago, and she asked me to place this notice on the Forum.

Dec 28, 2004 · I had an opportunity to visit with Bobby Bowman this year in St. Louis about making an Emmons Le Grande play better. Mine didn't play bad but if it could be made better, why not? To make a long story short.
