Busted is the 6th episode of the third season of the Canadian animated TV series Braceface, and the 58th episode overall.
After Sharon is mistaken for being "13 and under" once too often, she determines that it's because some other girls her age are better developed. Sharon and her friends are at the mall, where they discover a Teen Fashion week will be occurring there soon. Nina immediately comes over and nags them about their age.
They then head to the theater to watch Mr. Spy, to which the ticket booth guy thinks Sharon is "13 and under" despite her being 14. As Sharon gets her proof, two girls from her class come in and get tickets as well, to which the ticket booth guy gives them without questioning their age, since they their breasts are more developed. Sharon feels self conscious about her body afterward.
She has a small conversation with her mom, then she goes to buy clothes with her friends. She wants clothes that say "14 and up", and after unsuccessfully searching, the manager lady introduces them to The Enhancer 3000, a pump up bra. Sharon purchases it.
Immediately, Sharon notices people treating her differently, such as a senior opening the door for her. She thus takes it to the mall during Teen Fashion Week and finds Griffin, her half brother. Griffin, understandably is confused about Sharon's chest, whilst his friend treats Sharon respectfully, for reasons that are pretty obvious.
They go back for TFW tomorrow, where she dances with Griffin's friend, but then things hit a wall when the friend puts his hands on her thigh and attempts to kiss her. In her panic, she drops the button for her bra and it gets stepped on, causing her breasts to start uncontrollably growing. She rushes to Maria to help her. Maria tries to sneak Sharon out of the dance, but the device grows too big, eventually ending with one of them exploding. Sharon is embarrassed and devastated, with Griffin coming to give her a coat and get her out of the mall. Maria comforts a crying Sharon.
Some time later, Griffin and Sharon on the swings. In a passing remark whilst handing her gum, Griffin admits he stopped smoking since "Up in Smoke", and how it's always important to have control, and when we make mistakes, we learn from them. "Sometimes they're big mistakes, that...blow up in their face", she responds. Griffin then blows a bubble which blows up in his face, and the episode ends with both laughing.
SHARON: Thanks. I'll bring your jacket back.
GRIFFIN: Don't worry about it.
•This episode was too controversial and ended up being banned in a few countries except Canada.
