Brothers, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Natalie Portman and Tobey Maguire, is an interesting and profound drama about family values, war, and relationships. The acting is fantastic. I had hardly heard of this movie despite its all star cast so it was a pleasant surprise for me.

Movie Review. Norman Rockwell painted “family” as we’d like it to be: smiling parents, freckled boys, blue-frocked girls, laughing babies, all glazed with a warm, sunset hue. But not all families live in that glorious glow. The lighting turns harsh, the brushstrokes jagged and surreal—more Dal than Rockwell, more Munch than Monet.
