今年長庚大學有1,735名畢業生（博士生53名、碩士生570名及學士生1,112名），其中，智慧運算學院是第一次加入畢典行列，歡送首屆人工智慧學系學士班與碩士班學生。 典禮於上午11時準時開始，由湯明哲校長主持，董事會王文淵董事長、台塑企業林善志總經理、陳徹董事、黃振青董事、林口長庚紀念醫院陳建宗院長、張承能董事等貴賓到場祝福。 湯明哲校長致詞時首先提醒畢業生要懷抱感恩的心，感謝家長、董事會及師長的栽培，才能有學習的機會。 接著，湯校長指出AI時代的來臨，勢必對專業人士造成衝擊，未來，不是駕馭AI，就是被AI駕馭。 因此，他期許畢業生要以在學校時接受的扎實專業訓練為基礎，跟著AI一起進步，持續主動學習，發揮AI所缺乏的判斷力與創造力，成為駕馭AI的人。
