Dec 14, 2023 · HARRISBURG, Pa. — Last night, the Pennsylvania state legislature passed HB 689, legislation that builds on the state’s groundbreaking 2018 Clean Slate law by expanding access to second-chance opportunities for people with felony convictions.
On December 13th, the PA Senate voted to expand Pennsylvania’s Clean Slate law to qualified drug and property-related felony convictions. HB 689, or “Clean Slate 3.0,” already passed the House on June 5th and was approved on December 13th as amended by the Senate.
