This is a small zoo, (11 acres, started in 1972)and the web site is well done. It shows animals happily frolicking. Great photos. As soon as you approach the entrance you are surrounded by bars and cages. The lonely cougar sits idle in a small area, the bengal tigers are pacing in boredom.

This zoo is beautiful but very small. There are many types of birds, some lemurs, Tigers, and Cougars. There are also wolves. It doesn't take long to get through all the exhibits, and with a small child it's not as overwhelming as a typical zoo trip with young ones. Older kids may be bored.
