David Hume Kennerly (born March 9, 1947) is an American photographer. He won the 1972 Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography for his portfolio of photographs of the Vietnam War, Cambodia, East Pakistani refugees near Calcutta, and the Ali-Frazier fight in Madison Square Garden. [1]

David Hume Kennerly was born March 9, 1947 at Roseburg, Oregon. After attending Portland State College, he joined the Portland Journal, later transferring to the Portland Oregonian as a staff photographer. At the age of 20 he came to work in the United Press International picture bureau in Los Angeles.
David Hume Kennerly has been a photographer on the front lines of history for more than fifty years. At 25 he was one of the youngest winners of the Pulitzer Prize in Journalism.
