For 150 years, Delta Gamma has connected women of impact to champion one another as we continue to transform our connections into a lifetime of belonging. The unwavering bonds of our sisterhood are a life-long promise because the pursuit of doing good is never done.
Though Delta Gamma was founded more than a century ago, we are a future-oriented organization determined to bring together like-minded women from varied backgrounds. Instead of seeing barriers, we embrace more open perspectives.
Delta Gamma (ΔΓ), commonly known as DG, is a women's fraternity in the United States and Canada with over 250,000 initiated members. It has 150 collegiate chapters and more than 200 alumnae groups. [2]
Delta Gamma members belong to a sisterhood of more than 260,000 initiated members across the globe who share the vision of “Doing Good” and are invested in each other’s success. Every member is unique and yet they all share a single bond of friendship through Delta Gamma.
All are welcome to recommend young women who embrace the values of Delta Gamma Fraternity for membership. Recommendations allow for Delta Gammas to learn more about a potential new member’s character and values prior to recruitment.
From the very beginning, DG has stood for “Do Good.”. Our philanthropy, Service for Sight, supports the five schools founded by Delta Gammas for the visually impaired and other North American organizations that promote sight preservation and conservation.
Across the world, Delta Gamma women are leaders in their organizations and communities — and those leadership skills are formed beginning right here within our collegiate chapters.
