Dith Pran (Khmer: ឌិត ប្រន; 23 September 1942 – 30 March 2008) was a Cambodian American photojournalist. He was a refugee and survivor of the Cambodian genocide and the subject of the film The Killing Fields (1984).

Pran lived through the Cambodian Genocide under the Khmer Rouge regime. He vowed that if he survived, he would tell the world about the genocide and what he called ‘the killing fields’. In 1979 Pran escaped to Thailand and Sydney Schanberg was able to bring him to the United States.
From 1980, Dith worked as a photojournalist with The New York Times in the United States. He also campaigned for recognition of the Cambodian Genocide victims. He was a recipient of an Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 1998 and of The International Center in New York's Award of Excellence.
