Frankfurt (Oder) (Previously known as: Frankfurt an der Oder or sometimes Frankfurt/Oder) is on the Oder River in Brandenburg, a state of Germany. It lies directly on the border with Poland , and is connected via bridge to its Polish sister city Slubice .
