Jun 16, 2022 · Two commercial banks, Global IME Bank and Bank of Kathmandu, on Thursday inked an initial agreement to merge, creating Nepal’s biggest bank with a total Rs52 billion capital. Chandra Prasad Dhakal, chairman of Global IME Bank, and Prakash Shrestha, chairman of Bank of Kathmandu, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.

Nov 14, 2022 · Global IME Bank Limited and Bank of Kathmandu (BOK) on Monday signed a final memorandum of understanding for a merger. After the merger, the bank will become the largest commercial bank in Nepal with a total capital of Rs57 billion, the bank said in a statement.
