He announced today on social media that he will return to his native Detroit to join 97.1 the Ticket as a new host on the powerful sports radio station. Costa is expected to contribute at night, on weekends, and to some of the station’s play by play shoulder programming.

Jim Costa, who has served as an evening/weekend/fill-in host at the station since February 2021, will move up to mornings alongside Jon Jansen.
