Trail visitors can plan their trip to the Jordan River Parkway using a printable paper trail map (south section here, north section here), email info@jordanrivercommission.com to request a map in the mail, or our use our paper-less digital trail guide at www.MyJordanRiver.org.
The Jordan River Trail is open between 5:00 am and 11:00 pm in most sections. All dogs must be kept on a leash, except within the Millrace Dog Park. Please be responsible and clean up your dog’s waste to prevent water pollution and to keep the Parkway enjoyable for everyone.
Responsibility for development and maintenance of the trails are divided among Salt Lake County and local municipalities. The Jordan River Parkway is a north-south system of trails that parallel the Jordan River, connecting 45 miles through Salt Lake County. The trail further connects to neighboring counties, allowing for travel to Utah Lake and the Great Salt Lake.
The Sandy Urban Fishery, also commonly known as Grandpa’s Pond, is a 3 acre pond located within a 14 acre park near the Jordan River, just on the western edge of Sandy City. The park opened in 2009, and has been a popular spot with fishermen, both young and old, since.
The Riverfront Park Fishing Ponds are a collection of 3 small ponds that lie alongside the Jordan River. The ponds are popular with locals and can be accessed from the parking lot off River Front Parkway. You can also walk or bicycle to the ponds via the Jordan River Parkway.

Sep 19, 2016 · This is a great area to get out and go fishing. It's easy for beginners and is home to a variety of wildlife. These are great little ponds located at 11267 S. River Front Pkwy in South Jordan. It is just off of a section of the Jordan River.
