Ben is a 1972 American horror film directed by Phil Karlson and starring Lee Montgomery, Joseph Campanella, and Arthur O'Connell. It is a sequel to the film Willard (1971). The film follows a lonely boy named Danny Garrison who befriends Willard's former pet rat named Ben.
Not bad for a rat. But when did Ben learn English? It takes Berlitz six weeks of intensive training to get a French businessman to the point where he can proposition a girl on Rush St. -- and here's Ben learning instinctively. Ben also talks in his new movie.
Ben picks up right where Willard left off, with the furry leader of Willard's rat colony, Ben, finding a new human friend in Danny (Lee Montgomery), a lonely young boy with a serious heart condition who lives down the street with his mother Beth (Rosemary Murphy) and sister Eve (Meredith Baxter).
A boy (Lee Harcourt Montgomery) befriends a rat named Ben and forms an army of his rodent friends.
