- Mystery Team has all the makings of a cult hit. It has some outrageous moments, quotable scenes and an amusing premise. And like any cult film, it's not for everyone. It has its low-budget shortcomings and moments of unnecessary vulgarity, but in the end it amounts to a group of funny people having a good time making a film.

THE JETS. Dan Eckman'z Mystery Team is a terrific, forgotten film that deserves more attention. An immensely quotable, smart dumb parody of caper/PI movies, that takes the genre to illogical and hilarious extremes. One of the best examples of sketch-comedy sensibility turned into a feature film.
