Pleasure Island in 1995. As the name originates from a fictional location in Walt Disney's 1940 film Pinocchio, Pleasure Island opened emulating Church Street Station in Downtown Orlando, Florida. At that time, this was a highly successful gated attraction which offered admission to multiple clubs for one price.

The area would emulate what many Orlando residents new as Church Street Station in downtown Orlando, FL and feature bars and clubs to cater to the “after-hours” crowds of guests, Cast Members, and locals. Pleasure Island opened in May of 1989. To enter, Pleasure Island guests had to purchase tickets at booths located at the entrance.
