The City of Princeton in Minnesota is located approximately 50 miles north of the Twin Cities. The City of Princeton boasts a beautiful and bustling downtown situated on the confluence of the Rum River State Water Trail.

The geography of the Princeton area enticed explorers and lumberman to this area and helped establish a town on the Rum River. Princeton is located on the southern edge of a vast forest of white pine stretching to Mille Lacs Lake. To the south of the village were chiefly deciduous trees.
W F 10AM-2PM. A former passenger and freight depot on the Great Northern Railway. The building is a combination of Queen Anne and Jacobean architectural styles, built of local brick with sandstone trim. It is home of the Mille Lacs County Historical Society.
