Ronald Gene Estes ( / ˈɛstɪs / ESS-tiss; born July 19, 1956) is an American politician who has been the U.S. representative for Kansas's 4th congressional district since April 2017. A member of the Republican Party, he served as Kansas State Treasurer from 2011 to 2017.
As the only former state treasurer serving on the Committee on Ways and Means, Rep. Estes remains a champion of lower taxes, free and fair trade, affordable health care, and retirement security. He also serves on the Budget Committee and Education and the Workforce Committee and is the chair of the House Aerospace Caucus .
