DIRECTIONS. From I-5 North or South: Take the I-90 East/Rainier Exit. Head south on Rainier to Genesee. Turn east on Genesee to Lake Washington Blvd. South. Jul 27, 2015 · The newly revamped park opened in 1999. That summer, Seward Park also received a partial grant from the Illinois Arts Council to add art in the park. This vibrant mosaic was created through the additional support of the Chicago Park District’s Mosaic Parks Project.
