History: Professor Kurt Schmid-Ehmen (1901-1968) is considered the creator of the Third Reich imperial eagle – commonly known as the ‘Nuremberg Eagle’ due to his two large bronze examples publicly displayed at each end of the Luitpold Arena in Nuremberg.
