Thomas John Nash, RCamA (1931-2013) was a well-known painter, teacher and lecturer. He was born at Ammanford in Carmarthenshire. Tom Nash, as he was best known, studied at Carmarthen School of Art and Swansea College of Art 1949-54 and later in Paris.
This year, nationally acclaimed Georgia based artist Thomas V. Nash is celebrating his 37th year as a full time professional portrait painter. At the age of 56 he is a recognized leader in his field.
Tom Nash (b.Walton on the Hill, Surrey, UK 1891 - d. 1968) studied at the Slade School of Fine Art (1909–12), where he met such artists as Wadsworth, Nevinson and Stanley Spencer, who influenced his work, then he attended government art classes at Reading (1912–13).
