If your pupils are young kids or ESL learners, they may not understand the purpose of summaries, or have some difficulty expressing themselves in a concise way.

- Identify Underlying Structures. As mentioned, students will need to read the article several times, and, at this stage, it is time for a more thorough look at how the article is structured.
