Oct 7, 2019 · Hi, 01-28-2020 UPDATE: macOS Catalina 10.15.3 contains the fix for this issue . Once the macOS is updated you can scan from the glass and ADF as normal, t hanks for sharing @IronBadger. Follow and check HP Support for any updated drivers in the future, HP Easy Scan is not currently supported on Catalina.
Jan 25, 2021 · Regarding drivers, there is an updated (Dec 11, 2020) HP Printer Drivers v5.1 for macOS package download available from Apple at https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1888?locale=en_US. You may want to check whether it contains anything useful (perhaps something like the HP LaserJet Professional M1210nf MFP Series).
It removes all traces of HP software, including drivers, from your system. Restart. Open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners and re-add your printer. macOS will automatically attempt to download and install the proper drivers.

Feb 24, 2020 · This thread was initiated in October 2019, it's February 24, 2020 and HP still doesn't have drivers and a viable solution to support Mac Catalina. When can we expect to have updated drivers and to resolve this ?
Use AirPrint or available basic drivers to set up and use an HP printer on a Mac computer.

If your printer is a network printer, then my suggestion is to add it by using its IP address. Trying to install printer driver to iMac with Catalina 10.15 for HP Laserjet P2055dn.
