She had a black shirt with the same skull design as her jacket when she was younger. According to Shigeto Koyama, in the early concept designs for Ryūko, she had long black hair and an overall physical appearance similar to her older Satsuki Kiryūin.
Over the years I have drawn a great amount inspiration from Japanese Anime and try to implement elements of it into my own work. Kill la Kill is one of these works that has an immense amount of great character design and style that I have grown fond of.
