Jul 16, 2017 · Doxycycline can be taken with food and tends to have the least overall chances of side effects compared to minocycline and tetracycline. That is not to say of course it does not have side effects because it certainly does. Doxycycline can cause upset stomache, headaches and tends to be the most photosensitizing.
I went to urgent care and was given Bacitran ointment and doxycycline. Saw my gyno 3 days later. he told me my skin looked normal and to stop doxy. Its been 2 months and my skin still looks normal but feels like it is burning and irritated almost all the time.
