Synopsis. The movie begins with old film footage of World War II with a narrator explaining that Germany produced hundreds of U-boats (17 a month at the height of production) to control the Atlantic. By 1942, groups of U-boats known as wolf-packs sank over a thousand Allied ships.
American sailors are taken captive by a German U-boat, and they all have to work together to fight an outbreak of meningitis.
