Jan 23, 1998 · Phantoms is a horror thriller with polished actors, a clever plot, clever special effects and the movie is based off of a book by Dean Koontz. Phantoms is as intense and entertaining as Scream, The Faculty, Orphan, Drag Me to Hell, Cabin In The Woods, Hellraiser, Candyman, Dracula 2000, et cetera.
On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 13% of 32 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 4.2/10. Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, assigned the film a score of 26 out of 100, based on 19 critics, indicating "generally unfavorable" reviews.
