Aware of the story, O’Haver wanted to bring Sylvia’s life to the screen by adapting her real tragedy.
A true story of a teenage girl who was tortured and killed by a group of children in the basement of their house in the 1960s. The film shows the events leading up to the crime, the trial of the perpetrators, and the aftermath for the victims and the community.
