Todd Mortenson (also known as Scratch McGee) is the eponymous deuteragonist of The Ghost and Molly McGee. He is a fussing, funny, kind-hearted but short-tempered ghost (later revealed to actually be a wraith) who Molly McGee befriended when she arrives in Brighton.

Scratch is the wraith of Brighton resident Todd Mortenson, formed after Todd lost his soul from refusing to step out of his comfort zone. His name comes from a nickname of Todd's, spawned from a habit of scratching his arms.
Molly McGee is the titular protagonist from The Ghost and Molly McGee. She is a 13-year-old Irish-Thai-American girl who meets a grumpy ghost named Scratch, who after a curse he tries to put on her backfires, ends up cursed forever by Molly's presence.
