Feb 25, 2013 · Ang Lee won the best director award for "Life of Pi" at the Academy Awards Sunday Night, and it was his emotional acceptance speech that touched many nations across the world.
Winner: Emma Thompson. Presenter: Anthony Hopkins. Date & Venue: March 25, 1996; Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. EMMA THOMPSON: I don't really know how to thank the Academy for this. And if I try we'll be here till Christmas, so I better get on.
