Plav ( Cyrillic: Плав; Albanian: Plavë) is a town in Montenegro in the northern region. It has a population of 3,717 (2011 census). Plav is the centre of Plav Municipality (population of 9,081 following the formation of Gusinje Municipality ).

The town of Plav Montenegro is located at 945 m above sea level, just above the lake, and the place Gusinje at 925 m above sea level, at the beginning of the basin, at the meeting of the Grncar and Vruja rivers, at the foot of the Accursed Mountains, along the border with Albania.
In the northeastern part of Montenegro, hidden in the foot of the mountain Prokletije at the point where the river Lim flows into the lake, a beautiful town called Plav is nested. It is an urban settlement, located 1065 meters above sea level, with approximately 3,500 inhabitants.
