I had already purchased Friendly Fires Pala which is a spectacular album. As usual after I had one album I liked I had to grab the others. Friendly Fires self titled is a nice rhythmic journey of new synth beat pop with an 80's influence. I now wake up to this album when I get up and before I jump in the pool.
‘Friendly Fires’ was the debut album from the St Albans-three piece, Ed McFarlane, Edd Gibson and Jack Savidge. Featuring hit singles ‘Jump In the Pool’ and ‘Paris’, it was an era-defining record. It launched the band to huge critical and commercial success, nominated for The Mercury Prize and a Brit Award.
