Jan 22, 2021 · I just finished watching the series, EP50, of course. The last scene was that Wei Wu Xian was playing the flute and about finishing the melody. Then, he heard Lan Wang Ji's voice calling his name. Then, Wei Wu Xian slowly turned back, then he touched and smiled.
Most CQL fics prefer to leave the period of WWX's death at 16 years, though. But I'd still estimate the time between the lectures to WWX's death as 2 years minimum. The present-day section of the show and novel absolutely happens within a few months, I'd say less than half a year.
