- Burgermeister Brewing was sold to Schlitz in 1961, and a decade later, ownership was transferred to Falstaff Brewing in 1971. In 1978, the whole brewery was closed down, with the only remaining buildings being the warehouse and loading facility. Today, the original brewery site is home to a Costco and parking lot.

burgermeister is just better mcdonalds. its roughly like 5 guys. nothing special. if you want special you go to shiso, bbi, the bird, kumpel & keule, Pound & Pence, Piris chicken or (rip) volta, lily or muse. tommis, rebel room and burgerart are nice too if they still exist.

Founder Phil Jensen opened the first location near the University of Washington in 1952. These days his kids and grandkids run the business. Today there are six Burgermaster locations.
Looking at Burgermeister at Schlesi's published financials of 2022, it made around 450,000€ in raw profits. That's astonishing for basically being half a dump. At these price points, the profit margins are through the roof. Have to agree, I'm kind of over hamburgers.
