The application for Magnet and Year-Round schools will be open from October 16 through January 25. Applications are not first-come, first-served. Applicants who are selected for a magnet school, year-round school, or an early college to which they applied are automatically assigned to that school.

Applications for magnet programs are accepted October 1 through January 15. Applications received during this period will be considered for the next school year. Applications may be submitted electronically if you have a Parent Portal account or printed out and mailed to the Schools of Choice office.

Parents who do not have access to computers, may come during business hours to the Magnet Academies office located at 202 Rue Iberville Lafayette, LA 70508-1502 to complete an application.
Applications are obtained through the Parent Portal, online at www.yourchoicemiami.org, or by contacting the Schools of Choice office at 305-995-1922. Completed magnet applications must be submitted through the electronic application or paper copies mailed to the Schools of Choice office.
